Orthodontic Services – Aligners

Do you usually hide crooked teeth while smiling? Having misaligned teeth can cause a lot of self-consciousness, but you can overcome it with clear aligners. Our dental team offers this treatment to straighten your teeth and boost your self-confidence!
What Are Clear Aligners?
You’re probably familiar with braces for correcting bite problems. Clear aligners also do this but in a different way. They’re trays you wear on your teeth that put pressure on them, causing them to move into the proper positions slowly. This fixes crookedness and misalignment. Unlike braces, aligners aren’t visible. You can also remove them since they’re not attached to your teeth.
When Should You Consider Getting Aligners?
Do you have crooked teeth that are noticeable when you talk or smile? You may want to use this treatment to straighten them out. Are misaligned teeth affecting your ability to bite down comfortably, making it difficult to chew or even talk? Again, clear aligners offer a solution that can help fix this issue.
Benefits of Using Clear Aligners for Straighter Teeth
Why choose this treatment instead of braces? We offer clear aligners that offer an outstanding way to improve your appearance or bite.
This solution has several advantages, including the following:
- A clear design that’s hard for others to notice
- Custom-made trays that give you a comfortable fit
- Removable for easier cleaning
With aligners, you don’t have to limit the foods you eat as you do with braces. They may also be more comfortable to wear since they’re not attached to your teeth with wires and brackets.
Are Clear Aligners Right for Your Teeth?
They’re a good option for a lot of people. But it’s important to make sure you’re a suitable candidate for them.
They might be the best solution for you if you:
- Have crooked teeth or mild to moderate problems with your bite
- Are willing to keep them in for up to 22 hours a day
- Don’t have any tooth or gum problems, like decay
- Can visit us every couple of months or less to check your aligners
What to Expect
When you choose clear aligners, we’ll take digital scans of your teeth instead of taking impressions using putty. Our team uses those scans to have custom aligners made for you to wear. Once they’re ready, we’ll have you come in to make sure they fit and go over how to care for them.
You’ll be coming back to see us about every 6 to 8 weeks so we can see how much progress your teeth have made. You’ll also get a new set of aligners every couple of weeks as your teeth positions change. Note that you have to wear them 20 to 22 hours every day for good results. How long do these last? Results from clear aligners may last your whole life!
